Beets and Carrots Starter

Beets and Carrots
This was my first time tasting James Beard Award Winning Chef Linton Hopkins' food and I was not disappointed. While the menu was a little difficult to decipher how to order at first and our waiter made it harder than it needed to be, our hostess and the manager quickly helped us sort it out and got us on our way with a fabulous meal. Apparently, this restaurant is known to never offer the same menu twice (unless you literally return every night) so I was surprised to find there was still a beet tasting option available. Surprised and delighted! I LOVE beets and apparently so does the Chef so I was not disappointed (except in the lighting to take this photo) to find a seasonal beets and carrots tasting plate right at the front and center of Restaurant Eugene's menu.  I also enjoyed a cornmeal, leek and sage dumpling over wild mushrooms and a main course of fresh tilefish over some delectable mix of fresh farm-to-table veggies that I cannot even recall but loved, This trip to Atlanta was all about food and it was great timing for just that! With a sincere host of farm-to-table dedicated chefs now providing delicious and authentically seasonally fresh food all over town, this trip to Atlanta and Buckhead was one to remember.
